Directions

Catch a shuttle bus called 'con-x-ion' at the airport and this will bring you straight to our door for approximately $15 to $20, depending on the number of people.

You may also catch the Airtrain from the airport to Roma Street Train Station or South Brisbane Station and we will pick you up from there with our free courtesy bus from 8am-7pm. The train ride takes only 20 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes from the airports, very simple, fast and easy. It costs approximately $17.50.

We have a free pick up from Roma Street Transit Centre hourly between 8.10-11am AND 4-7 pm. This bus does not run on public holidays.

The driving distance from the airport is about 30 minutes. Walking from Southbank is about 10 minutes whereas walking from Brisbane City is 20 minutes..

An eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants, shops and weekend markets are just a few minutes stroll from the hostel. A multicultural community that offers bohemian and indie vibes. The hostel is within walking distance to some of Brisbane's cultural and scenic highlights. They include The Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland museum and Southbank Parklands. At Southbank you can hop on a free ferry and enjoy the views from the river or take advantage of cooling off in the man-made beach. It's not until you look across the river that there is a city at the other side. Brisbane is a modern city, relaxed and welcoming with the friendly attitude of its people. It mixes shopping, dining and nightlife with large extensive parks and gardens.

Please note the following restrictions apply to dormitory rooms: -Guest must be a minimum age of 18 years old -Guest must be travelling with a full size backpacker’s luggage which is 65L or above. -Dormitory Rooms are reserved for Backpackers and International Travellers. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian and can not be accommodated in Dormitory Rooms. Our property is not recommended for persons under 18. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Fees apply for all EFTPOS, VISA and MASTERCARD transactions. We also accept CASH. Please note that car parking is limited and subject to availability. For all group bookings (4 people) please contact us via email reception@somewheretostay.com.au before booking so we can guarantee your group is booked in the same rooms. Free pickup from the transit center is not available on public holidays. Payment Policy Valid Credit Card details are to secure your booking. Your card will only be charged if the Cancellation policy is broken. Fees Apply to all Card Transactions and may vary. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice to 9am on check in date will be charged the First nights rate.
